More than once I have seen the look of apathy when it comes to the all fabulous bridal session. I have often wondered why and I think I have figured it out. If you aren't from the South or have family in the South, bridal sessions aren't on your radar. Or you are trying to save a dollar and think that is the perfect session to cut. (Honey, I am the queen of pinching pennies until they sweat).
Not because you don't like them. Or think they are weird.
Just because you have not been exposed. So here, my friends, is your exposure!
Bridal Sessions. They are the peanut butter to my jelly. The hot to my chocolate. ;)
I become so incredibly excited about bridal sessions because it is your chance to get into your gown, have your hair and makeup done, and sinking into the realization that you truly are getting married.
It is like the best thing.
Bridal sessions are special. You get to bond with your photographer, rock your amazing beauty, and practice being the most beautiful woman your man has ever seen!
If I haven't convinced you with the feel-good side of things, here are some logistical pluses that err in the bridal session's favor.
Hair and Makeup:
Bridal sessions are meant to capture the joy and beauty that comes with getting married, without the stress of the wedding day.
We encourage brides to have their hair and makeup done for your bridal session to canvas your wedding day look and give your stylists a trial run before the big day!
The earlier you schedule your session, the more dates you have to choose from. Most brides plan their bridal session right after they receive their dress from the final fitting, about one to two months before their wedding. Bridals sessions are scheduled two hours before sunset to allow for beautiful natural sunlight.
Do you want your bridal photos to be cohesive with your wedding? Choosing your wedding venue for your bridal portraits will give a streamline look. Choosing a different location for your portraits such as a field, park, or downtown can add great variety!
Bridal sessions are a time saver on the wedding day and allow for more personal and natural portraits that last for years to come!
Oh sweet bride...if you are on the fence, climb over into this one time opportunity for you to be showcased in all of your bridal glory.
It is going to knock your hubby's socks off!!
Love and Laughter,
