Christina and Mitch's wedding at The Cypress Inn in Conway, SC was one I won’t soon forget. I have been looking forward to this wedding for over a year now!
Christina and Mitch’s love story is one that starts at the fragrance counter at Dillard's. Christina made sure to tell Mitch not to make marks on her freshly cleaned glass! He began coming over to chat with her more often and the rest is history!
After ten years of dating, they took their next step. Christina and Mitch were on a trip to Columbia to pick up their puppy Barristan from the breeder. Christina said that the whole car ride there he kept asking her if she felt the car pulling. She told him she didn't and Mitch proceeded to stop and insisted on checking on the engine. He popped the hood to take a look and called Christina out of the car. She got out asking him what was wrong with the car. And he asked her "Will you marry me?" Christina said, "Yes of course, but what's wrong with the car?!" :) She found out quickly that the car was just fine, it was just an excuse to get out and pop the question!
They are hilarious!
We were outstandingly lucky to have a beautiful summer engagement session in the Myrtle Beach State Park in Myrtle Beach, SC and their wedding day was even more perfect!
The ceremony overlooked the marina and their vintage and sentimental details were so unique. The broach on the bouquet came from Italy in the 1800s. WOW!! What a special detail! The weather was super rainy all morning, but when Christina and her daddy stepped off the porch to walk down the aisle, the rain stopped and the sun started to peek out! After the ceremony we took family and wedding party photos and then it was time for the bride and groom portraits!! We went out on the dock of the marina to take some iconic portraits! Christina's grandpa was a sailor and even though he has passed away, I know he was proud that they wanted to honor him in that way! After the marina we wrapped up with some portraits on the property and then went to the ceremony location to get the party started!! Together, Christina and Mitch completely enjoyed themselves, all the way down to the horse wedding crashing at the end of the night!
Christina and Mitch, I cannot describe how excited I am for the marriage you are building! I am so beyond happy that I got to be there to witness the beginning of your newest chapter. Thank you a million times over for allowing me to not only be your photographer, but also your friend. I pray your marriage gets better and stronger each and every day. Your joy is contagious and I absolutely loved being surrounded by it on your wedding day. Praying many more decades of love and laughter!
