Taking photos of your children are capturing moments of time that will never be lived again. Yet, for most parents, as soon as the camera comes out, something morphs inside your child.
Think about the Christmas card pictures that you have tried to take in the backyard.
Think about the sweet moment that your children were sharing and you said, "Wait let me get the camera?"
Wailing and gnashing of teeth.
I get you sweet mama out there.
The struggle is so very real.
That's where I am here to help. Check out these three tips and try them with your little tonight. See the amazing results.
- Give them something to do. Ask your child to strut their stuff, run like a superhero, spin their dress like a princess. Their reactions are on point.
- Have them hold their breath and then let it out. Usually, they get silly here and a beautifully genuine smile happens afterwards.
- Praise them! Everyone likes to know they are doing a good job, especially children. When they get it, give them a big hug and maybe even tickle them. You might be able to catch a good laugh!
I hope as the fall and Christmas seasons approach, this will bring about great pictures to reflect even greater memories.
