Myrtle Beach, SC Babymoon Maternity SessionRead More
Family sessions with little ones can seem daunting. Especially to all the mamas out there!
I have compiled a list of tricks for preparing your little ones for family sessions. These are ideas that will give you the chance to enjoy capturing this sweet time in your family!
Before your session, pack a bag with snacks, water and any small objects (like toys or lollipops) that might help us get their attention when it’s time for them to look at the camera.
If they are old enough to understand you, it’s a good idea to prepare them for what’s to come before the session starts.Explain how much the photos mean to you so they know to be on their best behavior.
A lot of families discuss and pick something fun in advance as a treat after the session if they’re good listeners, like an ice cream cone, for example.
It also helps if they’re bellies are full and they’ve has some good rest beforehand.
Once your prepare them physically and mentally, then feel free to give them (and you!) grace! They’re little, and we know that some days don’t always go as planned.
We’ve seen it all and will make sure to get you great photos, regardless of their moods. Our goal is to make this as fun and stress-free as it possibly can be for you and your family!

Capturing the very nature of your family in this season is an honor that is not lost on me!
Let me start out with how much I love these people!
My husband and I went to college with Ben and Beth at NGU. Beth and I worked in the Admissions office together as work studies. They were hilarious and fun, still are!
I remember her coming in after Ben's proposal and telling us about her helicopter ride and flying over the epic 'Will You Marry Me?' with Ben standing below.
I also remember her asking me to photograph her wedding! She entrusted her biggest day to a just starting out photographer! That was 6 years ago friends, which in photography years is like a lifetime!
I joked with them about how I had changed A LOT since I photographed their precious wedding 6 years ago!
I loved that we just picked up where we left off. They now have two incredibly gorgeous babies and they haven't changed a bit! Beth, please tell me your secret! :)
Petyon and Zeke could model for J.Crew Kids, they are really that pretty! And they have the best smiles!
Beth and Ben, I appreciate another opportunity to photograph the legacy you are building together. I can tell you love each other even more than on your wedding day 6 years ago. It was an honor and privilege to capture your love as a family!
Love and Laughter,
When Christina asked me to be her wedding photographer, I just couldn't be more excited! We decided to do their engagement session at the Myrtle Beach State Park I knew that we would have the best of both worlds! The beach and the trees!
Christina and I have worked together for the last three years and when I found out she was engaged, I was secretly waving my hand in the air to be her photographer. There is no higher honor than for a friend to hire you! Y'all are going to love these two!!
I think my favorite part of this engagement session was...
These two are getting married in October at the Cypress Inn in Conway, SC and I cannot wait to be there for their special day! You two are perfect for each other and I am so priviledged to be a part of your journey to marriage!!
Love and Laughter,
Anniversaries are super special to me. They are a reminder of another year you have devoted to each other, the good times and the bad, the strength that comes from unconditional love.
When Danielle and Marcus won our Anniversary Session giveaway last year, I couldn't have imagined a more fitting couple!
We were given the honor of hosting them in our home for their anniversary getaway and loved getting to spend time not only with one of our couples, but also our friends. They loved on our sweet Sadie, ate breakfast with us (even though I burned the first batch of toast because I was talking too much!), and chatted about life on our couch. It was all things wonderful.
We were able to go out on the beach together for their anniversary session right before sunset. The light did not disappoint and neither did they.
Marcus and Danielle, we love, love, love yall! I am so honored to capture yet another example of the sweet love you share together! Your heart for Jesus is contagious and your marriage is a wonderful reflection of that love. We are always here for you both!
Without further ado, our Surfside Beach anniversary session awaits...
Wouldn't this look great in their home?

Love and Laughter,
This elopement in Market Commons was stunning. Every detail carefully planned and coordinated. Bright and colorful. Delicately intricate.
The couple was phenomenally gorgeous and made everything that much prettier.
I am starting to really love opportunities to connect with other photographers and vendors in a "non-work" environment.
We get to chat about our families. Hear about other people's businesses. Make new friends.
It's got to be one of the coolest things.
I never feel like I am in competition with them. It just feels like a bunch of friends getting to do what they love, with lots of pretty details in tow.
I even got to reconnect with an awesome girl I went to college with! What are the odds?
Last night was an honor. To all of my new photography friends, y'all are amazing. I hope we can do this again soon!
To all of the vendors that worked tirelessly to put this shoot together, you deserve a BIG piece of cake! Everything was flawless.
I am excited to continue learning beside all of you! Muah!
Make sure to check out the vendors at the bottom of this post! They are wonderful!!! :)
