I met her 8 years ago in a coffee shop with some precious friends. I was instantly drawn to her personality. She is witty, thought-provoking, and loves deeply.
I wanted to be her friend.
Later, I found out she wanted to be my friend too.
We have always lived away from each other. We have only gotten to spend weekends or rushed evenings chatting and hanging out.
Yet, no matter what the years bring, we always pick up where we left off. And that kind of friendship is priceless.
I was beyond thrilled to be a part of her engagement session. Because we had spent years praying over our singleness, asking God to either equip our singleness with purpose or prepare a man that would one day be our husband.
I literally got to see prayers that I had prayed over Jessie come to fruition.
Kevin is everything that Jessie prayed for. He is strong where she is weak and he loves her with purpose.
He was the man God had all along.
They are preparing for their Charleston wedding in November. I cannot wait to sit in the crowd and know that so many years of prayers, chats, and walks in my field were seen and heard by a Great God!
Jessie and Kevin, I love you both and cannot wait to see what Jesus does with the two of you. He is worth every tear, every frustration, every hard day, and every joy.
The rain or gray skies didn't put a damper on how beautifully they love each other. Jessie, God gave you your wish! Here's to your gorgeous rainy day engagement! :)
